Enjoy an unforgettable tour in one of the favorite tourist destinations for visitors in the department of Quindío, here you will get to know and admire the colonial architecture of the places and landscapes that surround it, this will give you an understanding of its name The Andes daughter. You will visit one of the largest butterfly farms in the country which is inside the Quindío botanical garden, in this place you will find examples of the great diversity of fauna and flora of the region. You will be able to know the process needed to prepare a tasty Colombian coffee at CAFÉ LA MORELIA farm: , so while you walk through the farm you would see the growing coffee and be part of the spectacular Colombian tradition of making one of the most famous and favorite beverage all over the world. After that, you will know FINLANDIA, a warm village, not for the weather but for its kind, friendly and lovely people; SALENTO, one of the most beautiful places in Quindío, its streets, roads and valleys are wonderful and you can enjoy them and all its marvelous territory in horseback all the way through the mountainous landscape of Cocorá valley and finally PANACA or PARQUE DEL CAFÉ: Here you will enjoy an amazing agricultural experience on first hand, getting in touch and interacting with the countryside, animals and nature.

Your trip would start at the Hotel where you are staying. We are going to take you to the airport in Bogota city where we are going to travel to Armenia city, which is part of the department of Quindío. We would visit one of the favorite touristic place for its unique Antioquia colonial architecture called Finland. Finland is also known as “The daughter of the Andes” and its surrounded by beautiful green and fertile landscapes and its also known for its friendly and kind coffee farmers. Finland would be our place to have a delicious lunch. Finally, we would turn to our hotel to have a rest.
The second day we will start with an Antioquia traditional breakfast at the hotel, then we will go to the botanic garden where we will know one of the most larger butterfly garden in Colombia. Also, this botanic garden is known for being a place of preservation for insects and different kinds of birds that you can admire from different places designed to do so. There are also, several geologic and botanic museums and other natural attractions. This touristic place will alow you to get in touch with the natural diversity of the different regions of Colombia. Lunch time will be in Calarcá, then we will go to the next place called: Café La Morelia Farm, where we will visit the fields of the farm and we will know and taste this delicious coffee and its process of cultivation, selection, pulping, drying and threshing of coffee until roasting, grinding and packaging, a tradition that continues to position coffee as one of the world’s favorite beverages. At the end of the tour, we will return to Armenia, so you can have a free afternoon and get to know this beautiful city.
This third day, you will start having a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Then we will go to Salento, which is one of the most beautiful and oldest places in the department of Quindío and it is known as the cradle of the wax palm, which is our national tree and it hosts other wonderful places such as The Cocora valley. This valley is part of the National Natural Park “Los Nevados” and is the refuge of a variety of fauna and flora that is in danger of extinction, making it one of the most popular destinations in this region. You will have the experience to enjoy its mountainous landscapes in horseback, in that way you will be able to enjoy the spectacular views that his place offers. At the end of the horse-back riding we will go back to Salento to have lunch and to know and enjoy of the village and all his beautiful places. At the end of the day we will return to our hotel for a deserve rest.
This fourth and final day of this amazing adventure, we will have breakfast at the hotel as usual and then we will go to the “Parque del café” a turistic place with more than 26 atractions for all ages, or depending of the day, you could know PANACA instead, here you will enjoy an amazing agricultural experience on first hand, getting in touch and interacting with the countryside, animals and nature. Also, we will have lunch here and we could have a quiet and relaxing afternoon for the close of our tour. Finally we will go to the airport in Armenia and take a fly to Bogotá city where we are going to return you to your hotel.
