La periquera park: Here you will be able to know a huge nature diversity next to some beautiful waterfalls. Guatavita: You will find here a place of extraordinary architecture and a sacred place for a lot of ceremonies of Muiscas native culture. Laguna de Guatavita: Located in Sesquilé village, a beautiful place to visit. Zipaquirá: Here you will find a marvelous experience knowing the salt cathedral, a place where salt is an element so important that even you can see it on the architecture desing and is also a very religious and quite place

TRAVEL ITINERARY

DAY 1 - Sutatáusa - Cucunubá - Ráquira - Villa de Léiva

Enjoy a place which is completely full of magic and excels for its grandness, this place is called “Los Farallones de Suatáusa”. You will walk for roads surrounded by nature. Only quiet and calm will guide you to a relaxation road till the top of the Farallones so you can admire them and the views it offers. Thanks to its privilege geography, this place is the perfect scenery for the extreme sport practice and unforgettable adventures. After this amazing tour, allow you to fall in love with Cucunubá, a beautiful little village with amazing architecture and friendly people, here you will enjoy a traditional lunch of this region before you get to know the beauty of its stone pavement, the color green and white of the colonial houses and all the handicraft made of wool that are sold in this zone. We will continue to Ráquira, Colombian handicraft capital, here you will be able to go through all the stores full of local craftsmanship where the Pottery predominates, this is an indigenous tradition that is still alive among its people

DAY 2 - Villa de Léiva - La Periquera waterfall

Villa de Leyva is one of the historical and cultural heritages places of Colombia and is also one of the most important tourist destinations in the country. In this place is located the ecological park La Periquera, a large nature reserve that has an incredible set of waterfalls and a wide biological diversity. Here you will enjoy of a hike through its woods, rivers and waterfalls which is the main reason for it to be one of the most wanting tours for foreigners and local tourist. Be amazed with the stone pavement and the colonial architecture that still remain in Villa de Leyva, its cultural diversity is accompanied by the different hotels, inns and restaurants that offer a variety of services for all kinds of clients. We will visit its plaza, one of the most magnificent in America, and its streets that reinforce the gloríous character of this wonderful place that pleases every visitor

DAY 3 - Villa de Léiva - Sanctuary of flora and fauna of Iguaque - Tota Lake

The Iguaque Flora and Fauna Sanctuary allows you to carry out long and refreshing walks thanks to its wide extension, you can enjoy its biodiversity that consists of: ecosystems of páramo; High Andean forest and oak groves; dry vegetation and wetlands. You can visit its 9 lakes, among these is the “Iguaque lake” best known for being a sacred place of Muisca tradition. This is a unique and enriching experience that will make you feel renewed thanks to the impressive energy of this area. The typical dishes of Villa de Leyva will allow you to enjoy a delicious lunch before starting the transfer to your next trip: Tota lake

DAY 4 - Tota Lake - Mongüí - Guatavita

Tota lake is the largest lake in Colombia, an ancient Muisca space and territory of many beautiful waterways. You can fully enjoy this imposing water mirror that is the second highest navigable lake in South America. Continue your journey to Monguí, place that is considered material, immaterial and natural heritage of Colombia, here you can experience the calm of its architecture and the delights of its cuisine during lunch. You will have the opportunity to explore its colonial streets and the myths and legends of this region

DAY 5 - Guatavita Lake - Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá - Monserrate

Guatavita is a place of indigenous Muisca ceremonies that is full of history and colonial constructions, this place will be the perfect host for a walk through its stone pavement, so you can admire its beautiful architecture and where you will find one of the most iconic places in Colombia: Guatavita lake. Guatavita lake is located in Sesquilé and is the most famous of the sacred lakes of the ancient Chibcha culture. It has countless legends and incredible events that you can enjoy during the walk around it. Zipaquirá will be the receiving place to start the tour through its emblematic cathedral of salt. In this architectural site you will find a rich artistic collection of salt and marble sculptures in an entirely religious environment. You will be able to enjoy this impressive place before being transferred to Monserrate in Bogotá city, you will enjoy the trip by cable car where you can admire a panoramic view of the city thanks to its location at more than 3152 meters high. You will know the church located on the top of the hill that stands out for its whiteness, and will try a typical dish of this place full of history and religious icons
