We’ll start our visit at Bogotá Beer Company (BBC), one of the most famous pubs in Bogotá. You can taste a wide variety of local artisanal beers in a modern and rustic setting. Next, we’ll get in a car to La Cervercería, the first of its kind in Bogotá and inspired by the pubs of Liverpool. This bar offers the best selection of draft and bottled beers with English factory-like decorations, slanted roofs, wooden tables, and a festive environment. Next, we’ll head to one of the most exclusive places in Bogotá to play a game called Tejo. Also known by the name Turmequé, Tejo is considered the Colombian national game. Its tradition begins with our indigenous ancestors and has been played by Colombians for 500 years. The game consists of throwing a metal disk—weighing about 680 grams—onto a clay ramp 18 meters away. In the center of the ramp? A small envelope with gunpowder pressed into a metal circle. The goal of the game is to land your metal disk as close as possible to the metal ring or, better yet, to explode the gunpowder envelope. This is a fun game played by friends and families.
