A bilingual guide will scoop you up from your hotel, and we’ll head north to Málaga Bar, the oldest saloon in Medellín. We’ll hear about the history and see memorabilia and photos from some of the first Colombian tango singers. You’re free to grab a snack at the bar before we head over to Casa Gardeliana, a museum tribute to the King of Tango, Carlos Gardel. The tour continues to the San Pedro cemetery and museum, which features magnificent architecture and where Gardel was buried. Finally, the tour concludes at the local airport, where we’ll learn how the singer died in a tragic accident 80 years ago. You’ll see the homages contributed by different nations—from sculptures to plaques and artistic patrimony. After hours steeped in rich history and music, we’ll drop you back at your hotel, or any other destination of your choosing. We recommend you bring cash, as most places do not accept cards.
