COFFEE TASTING
Inicio » Cultural activities » Coffee Tasting
We begin the tour at the Museo del Oro (Gold Museum), which houses the world’s largest collection of pre-Hispanic metalworking and goldsmithing—around 34-thousand pieces of gold and copper and 25-thousand ceramic, stone, shell, bone and textile pieces. See pieces from different indigenous cultures around Colombia that thrived before the arrival of European conquerors. Once you finish your visit, we’ll learn about one of the other types of “gold” found in Colombia: the world’s best coffees. We’ll prepare a single-origin coffee grown and harvested by Colombian farmers in the Valley of Quindío. During the tasting, you’ll learn about different coffee origins, each of which offer different aromas and experiences. We’ll learn how to brew coffee at home and differentiate between “strong” and “weak” coffee. An expert coffee taster will guide you through the remarkable world of specialty coffees. This is an adventure for the senses, a journey of smells and flavors. Understand the magic behind award-winning Colombian coffee
