Sierra Nevada del Cocuy and Güicán Our first stop will be Güicán, known as the main tourist attraction of the Boyacá region, it is located within the Cocuy National Natural Park and is a great attraction for Ecotourism thanks to its extensive geography. This land of the Güicanes Indians is an impressive and unforgettable area that you can visit before starting the climb up to the mountain. You can acclimatize by a calm walk through the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy which is the largest glacier in Colombia, that’s why you will be able to see numerous lakes such as Lake PAULIN and waterfalls formed by the snow of the mountains, such as CORRALITOS waterfall. Its peaks are part of the identity of the people of U’wa, ethnic group located in the northern part of the municipality whom still retains much of their customs and traditions. Enjoy and have a relaxing afternoon before dinner at the shelter.

Sierra Nevada del Cocuy and Güicán Early this day, we will have a delicious breakfast to gain energy for the day, and later we will prepare to reach the edge of the snow in Ritak´uwa, the highest peak in la Sierra Nevada del Cocuy, with 5340 m. The tour will be a personal challenge that will test your mind and body. Once the objective is fulfilled, you will realize that the effort was worth doing in order to visit one of the most wonderful places in Colombia. Two factors are important, climate conditions have to be favorable, and attitude and determination must be on point. Once we meet our objective, we will return to the shelter where we will have a delicious meal before resting.

Sierra Nevada del Cocuy and Güicán Hot Springs Soatá This day you will be able to enjoy hot springs in Vereda San Luis, a place where you can bathe, relax and rejoice in its entirely natural waters, characteristic that makes it a treasure of the region. You can enjoy a delicious lunch in Soatá, a place that has beautiful scenarios to rest and be amazed, here you will find palms, Ocobos and almond trees and the beautiful Orquídeas that stand out in the region. In this place you will also find beautiful places to visit that are part of its history, such as Bolívar house, Simón Bolívar park and Alto de Santa María from where you can see the municipality in all its splendor, a place that will be perfect for the end of the tour and the beginning of the return to the city of Bogotá after a unique and impressive adventure.
