In this tour, you’ll spend an incredible day surrounded by local cultural, learning from local fishermen, and enjoying the delicious fruits of our labors. In a town of African fishermen near Cartagena, we’ll learn how to build fishing nets and crab cages, an ancient tradition in these communities. With the help of a fishing guide, we’ll practice fishing the traditional way and learn to identify the different types of fish and crustaceans we catch. After a few hours on the water, we’ll head back towards a fisherman’s home to enjoy the typical foods of Cartagena. We’ll have coconut rice and plantains to accompany fish. You can help prepare the lunch, and learn a few skills to replicate the unique Cartagena gastronomy at home. We’ll finish the day by sharing a meal with the fisherman’s family and talking about local African Cartagena culture. Please note: This tour is conducted in Spanish
